Why reading culture is essential for growth.

We are an average of five people we surround with”. If you want to know anyone's salary then add the salary of their 5 friends divide it by 5 you will get that number or you just want to know any status of a person then look at the average of his/her close friend and you will get your answer. We are literally a result of our friendship and influence so if anyone wants to be great then there shall be a friendship of great people. But how can it be practical for us?

Well, it can be if you start reading. Remember, when you are reading you are listening to people who have accomplished something great in their life you get to be like a friend of the other and yes you get in the right influence. The reason I love books is that someone has his lifetime knowledge and he captures in the form of the book through a decade of work and we can get all that information through it.

When you look at the average person they read around 2 to 3 books a year whereas the average CEO reads around 50 books a year. If you observe a most common habit of ultra-successful people it’s reading, Warren Buffet at the start of investing used to read 500 to 600 pages a day, Bill gates every year reads 50 books and Elon musk who is creating a revolution in this world through his electric car the company, changing humanity through SolarCity and boring company and sending people to Mars. Do you know what made Elon Musk the way he is? Well, credit goes to his reading habit as a child. He used to read a lot. He even finished reading the entire library and re-read the encyclopedia before the new book arrives as a kiddo.

Reading is also a good exercise for our brain as all parts get involved during the act of doing it. There is nothing to lose only to gain, why don’t we start developing this habit?
